Stop waiting for a rescue that isn’t coming. Stop waiting for the "perfect time" to start acting like the person you know you’re supposed to be. The gap between who you are and who you want to become isn’t a matter of years: it’s a matter of decisions.
Welcome to Day 7. We’ve spent the last week dismantling old patterns and laying the groundwork for a new foundation. Today, we close the loop. Today, we talk about the ultimate act of self-leadership: stepping into your potential and living as the future version of you, right now.
As a Veteran, I’ve seen what happens when people wait for orders. In the civilian world, if you wait for someone to tell you to be great, you’ll be waiting forever. The Role Model Mindset isn’t about being perfect; it’s about being the standard. It’s about deciding that the "Future You": the one who is disciplined, healthy, and leading with purpose: is the person who calls the shots today.
The Myth of "Someday"
We all have a "someday" version of ourselves. Someday, I’ll be fit. Someday, I’ll have that executive presence. Someday, I’ll have my mindset fully dialed in.
But "someday" is a trap. It’s a way for your brain to stay comfortable in the present while feeling good about a hypothetical future. To truly Shyft (shifting with "YOU" and "YOUR WHY" at the center), you have to collapse the timeline. You don’t get to that future version of yourself by waiting; you get there by becoming them.
When I talk about being The Shyft Master™, I’m talking about the ability to look at your current reality and say, "This is no longer the limit." It starts with Identity. You have to stop identifying with your struggles and start identifying with your potential. If you want to be a leader, start leading. If you want to be an elite performer, start performing.

Pillar 1: Identity : Choosing the Role Model
Who is the future version of you? Have you actually sat down and defined them?
In our Life Alignment Assessment, we often find that the biggest source of stress is the misalignment between who you are and who you know you’re capable of being. Living the Role Model Mindset means you stop looking for mentors on social media and start looking at the Future You as your primary mentor.
Ask yourself:
- How does the Future Me handle a stressful morning?
- What kind of boundaries does the Future Me set?
- How does the Future Me speak to themselves when they fail?
When you start making decisions based on that version of yourself, the old identity naturally begins to fade. You aren't "trying" to change; you are simply acting in accordance with your new standard.
Pillar 2: Body : The Vessel of Excellence
You cannot lead an organization, a family, or even a team if you cannot lead your own physical self. The future version of you isn't sluggish, burnt out, or surviving on caffeine and stress.
My 34 Minute Mindful Method was built for this exact reason. It’s about the "Million Dollar Body" mindset: recognizing that your physical health is the fuel for your leadership. If you aren't prioritizing your body today, you are actively sabotaging the future version of yourself.
Stepping into your potential means treating your body like the high-performance machine it is. It means high-quality fuel, intentional movement, and the discipline to rest when needed. Whether you’re looking at Million Dollar Body coaching or just committing to a daily walk, the goal is the same: Rebuild the vessel so you can Rise to the occasion.
Pillar 3: Leadership : Leading from the Front
Leadership isn't a title; it’s a way of being. For every Veteran I’ve coached, the transition to civilian leadership often comes down to this: you lead by example, or you don’t lead at all.
Living as your future self today means exercising personal leadership. It means doing the work when no one is watching. It means being the first one to take ownership when things go wrong and the last one to take credit when they go right.
In my Leadership Training programs, we focus on the energy you bring into the room. If you want to be an executive who commands respect, you must first be the person who respects their own time, their own word, and their own growth.

Pillar 4: Purpose : The "Y" Factor
Why are you doing this? If your "Why" isn't big enough, you’ll quit the moment things get hard. This is the "Y" in Shyft.
Your purpose is the bridge between your potential and your reality. When you live with the Role Model Mindset, your purpose isn't just about your own success: it's about the impact you have on everyone around you. You become the evidence that change is possible. You become the permission slip for others to step into their own excellence.
This 7-day series was designed to help you Regulate, Rebuild, and Rise.
- Regulate your nervous system and your mindset.
- Rebuild your habits and your body.
- Rise into the leadership and purpose you were created for.
Living it Today
So, how do you start? You start with one decision.
Don't wait for tomorrow to be the person you want to be. Dress like them. Speak like them. Schedule your day like them. Take the Life Alignment Quiz to see exactly where you’re leaking energy, and then close those gaps with tactical, disciplined action.
The version of you that is vibrant, powerful, and at peace already exists within your potential. Your only job is to stop getting in their way.

Final Thoughts on the Series
This marks the end of our 7-day series, but it’s just the beginning of your journey. The Role Model Mindset isn't a destination; it’s a daily practice. It’s a commitment to "stepping into the excellent version of yourself" every single time you wake up.
I am here to support you in that journey. Whether it’s through 1-on-1 Executive Coaching, joining our community, or coming to a retreat to fully reset, the door is open.
