Emotional Intelligence

Leadership without emotional intelligence is hollow. As a certified Emotional Intelligence Facilitator, I’ve seen EQ separate good leaders from transformational ones, and it shows up just as powerfully at home. In this category I write about the five pillars I teach in my emotional intelligence training: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. You’ll also see how EQ shapes conflict, feedback, and trust on teams. Expect practical tools for recognizing your triggers, managing your impulses, and learning to respond rather than react, choosing the responses that build rather than destroy. Your body stores emotions, so I also bring somatic awareness into this work, helping you release stored tension and show up fully present in high-stakes situations. Feel everything. Be controlled by nothing. Wondering where you stand right now? Start with my free Emotional Intelligence Quiz, then go deeper with the Self-Awareness Assessment and the Self-Management Skills Assessment, and see how you show up with others in the Relationship Management Assessment. I treat EQ as a skill you practice every day, at work, in your relationships, and in the way you talk to yourself. The leaders who win aren’t the smartest. They’re the most emotionally intelligent. Invest in the skill that multiplies every other skill.
